Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about our services:

What areas of Oahu do you serve? +

We serve clients across the entire island of Oahu with in-person services. For neighbor islands, we offer virtual consultations and remote support for many of our programs. Our office is centrally located in Honolulu, but we frequently travel to community centers, libraries, and client locations island-wide.

How much do your services cost? +

Our pricing varies by service. We offer completely free programs for keiki and heavily subsidized programs for kūpuna. For businesses and workforce training, we have competitive rates, and many qualify for ETF funding which covers 50% of eligible costs. We're committed to making digital skills accessible, so we offer payment plans and sliding scale options for individuals with financial need. All initial consultations are free.

Do I need to bring my own device for training? +

For personalized training, we recommend using your own device when possible, as you'll be learning on the same technology you use daily. However, for group workshops and classes at our facility, we do provide computers. For kūpuna home visits, we work with whatever devices you have. If device access is a barrier, please let us know, as we have a limited number of loaner devices available.

How do I know if my business qualifies for ETF funding? +

Most Hawaii businesses that pay unemployment insurance taxes qualify for ETF funding. The program covers 50% of eligible training costs. During our initial consultation, we can quickly assess your eligibility and handle the entire application process for you. The main requirements are that your business is registered in Hawaii, has employees in Hawaii, and is current with unemployment insurance contributions.

How do I register my child for the free keiki programs? +

You can register through our online form, by calling our office, or by visiting us in person. Our keiki programs are completely free but do fill up quickly. We recommend joining our email list to be notified when new sessions are scheduled. We run programs year-round with increased offerings during school breaks and summer.
